Charming, and glamorous place to walk and enjoy watching beautiful luxury yachts and cars.
The Puerto José Banús, more commonly known as Puerto Banús is a luxury marina, opened in May 1970, located in the province of Málaga, between Estepona, and San Pedro de Alcántara.
This Marina and tourist enclave, is considered one of the biggest entertainment centers of the Spanish Costa del Sol, achieving well known international fame.
In Puerto Banús, there are also many places to eat, or to have a drink. One would think that it is a very expensive place, but really I always find many affordable places.
Swiss architect Noldi Schreck, who participated in the design and construction of Beverly Hills, was the one which proposed to design this Marina as an Andalusian village instead of huge skyscrapers, managing to give it a touch of sophistication.
This lavish resort had its opening in May 1970. Together with Marina Grande in Capri, Porto Cervo in Sardinia, and Marina di Portofino in Italy, is one of the four most expensive marinas in the world for berthing costs, having a daily rental of a mooring priced over 2,000 €.
Among its technical characteristics is that it has 915 berths for boats up to 50 meters in length with a maximum depth of six meters. These vessels can dock at its 15 acres, protected by breakwaters.
